Search engine optimization allows you to increase the traffic flow to your website by ensuring that it is high on the list being returned by what a person is searching for. You do certain things to your website to make sure that people are being brought to it.
HTML allows you to highlight keywords on your site making it easy for your site to end up on the returned search list, depending on what keywords the person used in their search. You will notice that sometimes when you are browsing on a page there is an indexed search list to the side which shows related pages to what you are looking for. - Place relevant keywords that will lead people to your page, such as in the header of your pages or in the URL.
- Use things like archives to integrate links back to your page. This will boost traffic to the other pages on your site.
- Using Google Webmasters you can sign in and see all the diagnostics and reports for your website.
